The cycle of graphic works “St. Faustina and…” consists of 33 prints. The 34th – “Divine Mercy Sunday” – was created by the author later, a few months before his death. The cycle reflects the Vilnius period of one of the greatest mystics of the 20th century, the apostle of Divine Mercy, St. Faustina, where she lived for more than 3 years and experienced about 80 apparitions of Jesus. These works are the author’s attempt to look at the visions described in her “Diary” through the eyes of St. Faustina and to convey them visually. The works were made using etching, aquatint and soft varnish techniques. The numbers in brackets refer to the excerpt from the “Diary”.
